For residents at the Lubbock County Community Corrections Facility, time there is not just about serving probation — it’s about changing lives.
Valerie Monteilh, director for the Court Resident Treatment Center, said the center runs a drug and alcohol and criminal conduct rehabilitation program for its 170 residents that consists of several phases. Residents learn how to become aware of their thoughts and feelings in order to change their behavior, she said.
